My current work focuses on developing design and regulatory tools aimed at optimising the beneficial use of information technologies and minimising their negative consequences for individuals and society.
I have multidisciplinary research experience, having worked and published on topics ranging from the policy and governance of algorithmic systems (AI), data privacy, AI ethics, AI standards, bio-inspired robotics, AI and computational neuroscience, to experimental studies on human behaviour and perception. I hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience.
